ST. LOUIS Utility companies in the St. Louis area are asking customers to continue to conserve energy for a few more days as extreme cold continues to grip the midwest.
Ameren said it is asking customers to practice conservation efforts for the rest of the week. The companies believe the need to conserve will be lifted by about Friday as temperatures get warmer. Cuivre River Electric Cooperative is asking customers to conserve electricity until Friday.
