Havana, Apr 11 (Prensa Latina) Scientists and health personnel from the Cuban capital who participate in the intervention study with two of this country s anti-Covid-19 candidates are currently vaccinated with the first dose. The administration of the first dose of the Cuban vaccine candidates Soberana 02 and Abdala to the 75,000 health and Biocubafarma workers who are part of the intervention study developed in Havana, concluded, Cuba s Ministry of Public Health reported on Twitter.
This is a controlled intervention study for at-risk populations, which includes health workers and the Group of Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Industries of Cuba (BioCubaFarma).

26 de enero de 2021, 16:18Havana, Jan 26 (Prensa Latina) Strengthening epidemiology and primary healthcare in the face of Covid-19 are fundamental objectives of the work of Cuba s Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) in 2021, according to a communiqué issued on Tuesday by the entity. The press release also states that maximum attention and follow-up will be given to hygiene, epidemiology and microbiology activities, along with the surveillance system, for the control of the current pandemic and other communicable diseases.
According to the MINSAP s report, this will guarantee the stability of the country s epidemiological situation in the current international context.

Havana, Jan 21 (Prensa Latina) Thirty-nine medical teams of the Henry Reeve international contingent, sent by Cuba, are contributing to efforts of 26 countries to curbe the health crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Cuba s Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) reported there is a total of 2,544 collaborators in these teams, of which 1,061 guarantee the care of patients sick with Covid-19.
Of these health professionals, 909 work in the so-called red zone, while 99 assist isolation centers.
To date, 55 brigades of the International Contingent of Doctors Specialized in Disaster Situations and Serious Epidemics have worked in 40 countries, and have treated more than 1,090,790 people.
