Bengaluru, May 26: Weeks after 17 Muslim boys lost their jobs in the South Zone War Room after being falsely accused of being part of a bed allocation scam, only one has been deputed back to work.
The development occurred after BJP MP LS Tejaswi Surya, along with other BJP leaders on May 4 stormed into the South Zone War Room and read out a list of 16 Muslim boys, and demanded to know why they were appointed. Ayesha Sheikh, a BBMP staffer had out of the war room in solidarity with the 16 victims.

Only one of the 17 Muslims who lost their jobs after being targeted by Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya in the alleged bed allotment scam, with no evidence of their involvement, has been deputed back to work in the South zone war room.
Of the remaining 16, six have refused to rejoin work, hurt and afraid that they were targeted for their religion. The rest have given letters to their employer Crystal Infosystems and Services Pvt. Ltd. seeking work, and are waiting to hear from the company.

The 17 Muslim youths who were asked to stay away from work after they had been targeted by BJP MP Tejasvi Surya in the alleged bed-blocking scam will be reposted for duty in the coming week, multiple sources said.
Tulasi Madineni, Special Commissioner, BBMP, South Zone, said they would get their jobs back, but it was left to the agency they work for to decide where they would be reposted for duty. However, when contacted, the agency, Crystal Infosystems and Services, which is contracted by the BBMP to provide personnel, refused to comment on the issue.

Bengaluru, May 7: BJP Yuva Morcha national president and Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya has rubbished reports that he apologised to those working at a municipal covid war room in Bengaluru.
Mr Surya, who is known for provocative remarks, had visited the facility on Tuesday and broadcast the video live, reading out the names of 16 Muslim staff who he accused of corruption in the allocation of hospital beds as the city and Karnataka struggles with a massive spike in covid infections.
