Once in a while, it’s important to try something simple. Like this clue!
It’s all very well to be dynamically ambitious and inspired out of your socks all the time. But like a sine curve, the most natural and organic of waves in this stringy universe of ours, everything has nay, needs its rises and falls. You can’t live in the high zone all the time; you need to spend some time in the lower/quieter zones so you can replenish your reserves before shooting for the stars once again. And thank Cryptic Crosswords for demonstrating just that with the varying levels of difficulty in its clues!

Clue explained:
One of the famous cute plump bearlike alien creatures all of us ’90s kids grew up watching and loving on television was PO, the tiniest of the Teletubbies. Everyman seems to have mispelled this as ‘Tellytubby’.
‘Everyman’ would refer to himself\herself as ME.
Another word for ‘executed’, as in managed or carried out, is RAN.
The name IAN is of Scottish origin for Johan or John, and is thus equated with ‘Scotsman’.
So, we so far have worked out PO, ME, RAN, and IAN. Altogether, that spells POMERANIAN, a fuzzy breed of ‘dog’.
