15-year-old girl becomes first-ever Malaysian to play for Bayern Munich

It s one thing to dream about playing for a legendary football club, and it s another thing completely to actually do it.
While so many young kids and teenagers spend their time looking up to footballing icons like Messi and Ronaldo, Malaysian footballer Celine Chuang has made headlines for becoming the first-ever from her country to play for German giants FC Bayern Munich (or Bayern for short), widely known as one of the most successful clubs in the world of football.
Having adopted a keen interest in football from her siblings during her childhood, Chuang started off her footballing journey by training at Persatuan Sukan Bintang Biru (PSBB) in Penang, Malaysia.

PETALING JAYA: Don’t be surprised at reading about a Malaysian girl mixing it up with the boys and scoring goals.
That will be 15-year-old Celine Chuang, a future football star in the making strutting her stuff with one of the biggest football clubs in Germany – Bayern Munich.
The national Under-15 team winger created history when she became Malaysia’s first female footballer to play for the second squad of the Under-17 FC Bayern Women since July this year.
“All of my efforts over the years paid off when I was selected as one of the 10 players to join the second squad of the Under-17 FC Bayern Women, ” said Celine.
