ever since i fell in love with a chilango. pepe and i got married almost a decade ago, and we spend as much time here as we can. every time i m in mexico, this is my daily ritual. every morning, i wake up, and i do this. my favorite place ever. hola! the enticing smell of this bakery can lure anybody in. [both speaking spanish] wow. i always time my arrival to when they re coming out of the oven. sweet, fluffy, and topped with crunchy sugar, i just can t resist. muchas gracias. oh, my god. it s warm. this is a concha. mmm. oh, my god. [laughs] i don t think anything makes me happier. sitting over a mile above sea level in the center of mexico, this sprawling metropolis is the country s capital.
