PAINT TWP. What started as a vision by a group of Christians to help people struggling with mental health issues has grown into a full-service agency with multiple locations and a commitment for compassionately leading people toward wholeness.
SpringHaven Counseling Center was formed in 2007 when the Christian group merged with Crown Centre for Counseling, a nonprofit, Christian counseling organization that was established in 1988, and the group purchased Cornerstone Psychological of Berlin. The main campus was located at The Pier in Mount Eaton. The north campus near Rittman remained at Crown Hill Mennonite Church.
The following year, LaVina Miller Weaver was hired and merged her private practice, Oasis Counseling, with SpringHaven. The Center caters to the counseling needs of Amish and Mennonite in the community.
