Roof of east London nursery collapses overnight

The roof of a day nursery in east London has collapsed overnight. Footage provided to The Independent shows firefighters working on the damaged roof on Friday 16 June, after it collapsed around 8pm on Thursday evening. Other videos also show the extent of the damage to the roof. There was no one inside the nursery at the time of the incident, one local resident has confirmed. The Crossharbour Montessori Day Nursery is located on East Ferry Road, Isle of Dogs. It is part of the Baltimore Wharf residential development in Canary Wharf. The Independent has contacted Crossharbour Montessori Day Nursery for comment on the incident.
