LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Whether you have somewhere to go or just want to do a leisure activity, there’s a new opportunity to get outdoors in La Crosse.
La Crosse Neighborhoods Inc., Beer By Bike Brigade, the city, and county officially rolled out the “Drift Cycle” bike-sharing program Thursday.
People can stop by one of the eight bike stations, located around the Downtown La Crosse area.
After years in the making, this bright idea is finally a reality.
“We have had our mind set on moving the needle on bicycle infrastructure in this community and this is just one more way the community is working together to do that. We need to have more people biking, we need to have more people feel safe, and most importantly have fun while doing it,” said Jacob Sciammas, La Crosse Community Bike Share Chair.
