good morning. it is wednesday. hope you are doing well. the sun returned to parts of the south after a week of record-breaking rain only to shine light on gut-wrenching stories of tragedy and loss. plus, congress is notorious for getting things done slowly. but maybe not this time. new help may be on the way soon if you are unemployed. and cameras are rolling as an out-of-control car barrels towards this little girl. how she walked away without scratches is amazing. after nearly a week of rain the southeast is finally getting a break. the sun came out yesterday but it is still a mess. roads across the region are still blocked. some schools in georgia will be closed again today. look at muddy water, though. there s still plenty of flooding going on. some people cannot return to their homes. many people staying in shelters and others made it back to see the damage and some relived how they escaped. i mean, i m laughing and joking about it but i m really crying on the inside
