Buffalo EMS, Kaycee Ambulance Report Slow February – Sheridan Media

Buffalo Emergency Medical Service Director Dave Harness and Kaycee Ambulance Director Crosby Taylor both gave their reports to the County Rural Health Care District Board this week, saying February is traditionally a slow month for both services. Harness reported only 53 calls during the month; seven total transfers; 29 in-town calls and 24 out-of town patients; 40 residents and 13 non-residents; three canceled calls and 10 patient refusals; one stand-by; two codes; one DOA: and one trauma team activation. He said although it was a slow month for the number of calls, it was an “intense” month. Harness said the EMS has continued to have issues with their radio communication system, but IT managed to get it fixed except for a “skip” from another town’s radio communications system.
