KANSAS IN SPOTLIGHT: Kansas producers received recognition in the 2020 National Wheat Yield Contest. Tyler Ediger from Meade had the top Kansas dryland winter wheat yield with 108.43 bushels per acre, and took fifth place in the national contest. Kim Gamble of Kiowa took first in Kansas irrigated winter wheat, with 135.39 bushels per acre. Tyler Ediger tops Kansas dryland wheat yield, and Kim Gamble is the winner in Kansas irrigated winter wheat.

Kansas wheat farmers demonstrated their agronomic prowess in the 2020 National Wheat Yield Contest as the National Wheat Foundation, which organizes the competition, released state winners from this year’s contest.
