Young child hit by a car in Calne - air ambulance lands at scene | The Wiltshire Gazette and Herald

A young child has been hit by a car in Campion Road in Calne. The Wiltshire air ambulance recently left the scene after it landed near to the street around 12.30pm today. Police are still at the scene and speaking with those involved. They expect to keep the road closed for the rest of the day and people have been urged to avoid the area. Forensic Collision Investigation Units as well as ambulances were also called to the incident. A Wiltshire Police spokesman said: We are currently at the scene of a road traffic collision in Calne. We were called shortly after 12pm today to a collision between a vehicle and a young child on Campion Close, Calne.
