hoping for better news, we all were. stuart, by almost every measure the news not rosy, is it. no, sir, there s not. a big disappointment with strong political overtones to this one. i hate to do numbers but these are important. bill: go ahead. you have 14.6 million americans who do not have a job, you ve got 6.6 million americans who have been out of work for six months or more. that amounts to mass, long-term unemployment. i don t think we ve seen this. i can t remember seeing that many people out of work for so long before in my 30, 40 years in the united states. bill: you re kidding me. really? you think we re marking history with this jobs number 1234. jobs number? look, i can t pull that number out of my head but i cannot remember a time when you had 6.6 million people out of a job for more than six months. that is long-term, mass unemployment. now, that rate you just showed, 9.5%, that should be a lot lower at this stage of the so-called economic recovery. we
