VICTORIA, Texas – Day three of early voting for the Victoria joint general election started today and stats show that voter turnout is strong.
So far 774 people have voted in person and 1783 people voted by mail. We spoke with elections administrator, Margetta Hill, on voter turnout compared to previous elections.
“It’s been about the same, the numbers of the voters coming out is a little bit better because we’re coming out of the presidential year and people have voting on their minds,” said Hill.

Victoria County is starting to see another increase in COVID-19 cases according to Victoria County Health Department Director, David Gonzales.
You can see the latest round of data from April 15 on the Victoria County Covid-19 dashboard here. In the first two weeks of April, new cases have claimed from 98 cases on April 1st to near 150 by April 13th. This comes after Victoria saw COVID-19 numbers decrease in February and March.
