We asked Great Lakes photographers to send us some of their favorite or toughest Great Lakes shots and a bit of a story behind the picture. This image and explanation are by David Marvin. Most people have never heard of the Crisp Point Lighthouse, much less ever visited it. It stands on the Lake Superior shore fourteen miles west of Whitefish Point, connected to the rest of the world by only a winding seasonal gravel road. Originally, Crisp Point housed only a lifesaving station, starting in 1876.

that s a fact. if that s what s going on, people will know about it. i think this is payback from republicans. when the democrats went after them. they said they didn t want stimulus money but they went to their states touting all the help the stimulus money was giving them. how you do in november will be based on how you defend voting for healthcare or against it. chris is a pollster. if you are a democrat, democrats want you to vote for it. republicans want you to vote against it. it s independent voters who determine these elections. if this cuts the deficit and you can make that argument, you are going to win and that s what the democrats bet is right now. megyn: how do you respond to crisp point? 80% to 85% of the people are against it. not less their congressman is going to vote question? i think it goes down party lines. it falls right down party lines.
