The Rotary Club of Gastonia will conduct a food drive Saturday, May 15, helping fill a void when another popular food drive was cancelled.
The collection of non-perishable food items, cleaning supplies and personal hygiene products will take place at three Gastonia churches from 9 a.m. until noon. The locations are:
Redeemer Lutheran, 1915 S. New Hope Road
First Baptist, 2650 Union Road
First United Methodist, 190 E. Franklin Blvd. We re trying to raise awareness that there is still a need for food in the community and we encourage collecting it for the people that need it, said Brent Messer, president of the Rotary Club of Gastonia.
