Mick Carter has had a breakthrough about his childhood abuse in a powerful New Year s Eve episode that saw him contemplating taking his life.
Thursday s (December 31) episode opened with Mick (Danny Dyer) standing on the edge of the Vic s roof, before flashing back to him in his home, calling Samaritans for help. BBC
Through a series of flashback sequences to both the near and distant past, Mick revisited traumatic moments throughout his life that led him to the point of such misery.
In new scenes set to air on New Year s Eve, Debbie is set to quiz Ray over why Gary has changed his mind over selling Underworld. However, Ray is evasive towards her, not revealing the horrible truth that he tried to rape Faye.
Ray and Debbie decide to change their tactics and hope to put pressure on Gary by driving out the factory s current occupants.
The pair offer Nick alternative premises for Underworld with half the rent, leaving him torn. Will he go through with the offer? ITV

Her fortunes will only get worse after Christmas when Gray reveals that the witness who spotted her at the Vic has given testimony that checks out – with Tina having no clue her lawyer has paid off the witness.
Gray encourages Tina not to give a new statement to the police, while Shirley Carter insists that Tina has no other alternative than to run away.
Mick finally springs into action by insisting that he will leave with Tina, should she have to go. Tensions still run high within the family, as Shirley tells Mick she doesn t regret a Christmas outburst.
