A 5-year-old girl found with multiple injuries, including fractured ribs and a lacerated liver, has led to the arrests of a man and woman from Apple Valley on suspicion of child abuse, authorities said.
San Bernardino County sheriff s officials arrested Jonathan Martinez, 26, on April 24 for alleged child cruelty. He posted bail and was released the following day, booking records show.
Alyssa Gonzalez Barrientos, 25, was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of willful child endangerment, according to booking records. She posted bail and was released on Thursday.

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. - An Assistant Principal at Oak Hills High School in San Bernardino County has been arrested, accused of sexually abusing a minor.
On February 8 investigators from San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Apple Valley Station and investigators with Crimes Against Children (CAC) began investigating after a 10-year-old female disclosed she was sexually abused.
During the investigation it was discovered the victim was abused several times when she was seven and eight years old.
Detectives identified the suspect as Matthew Johnson, who worked as the Assistant Principal at Oak Hills High School.

San Bernardino County Sheriff s officials have arrested an Oak Hills High School assistant principal, alleging he sexually abused a 10-year-old girl “multiple times” when she was several years younger.
Authorities arrested Matthew Lin Johnson, 42, of Apple Valley, Thursday afternoon after contacting Johnson at a business in Rancho Cucamonga, according to sheriff s spokesperson Cindy Bachman.
Johnson was booked into West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga on suspicion of lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14 and continuous sexual abuse of a child under the age of 14, booking records show.
Man whose family runs a daycare center accused of distributing child porn
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department has arrested a Yucca Valley man with ties to a daycare center accused of distributing child pornography.
Jonathan Marriott, 34, was arrested on Wednesday.
Authorities said Marriott s arrest came about after an Electronic Service Provider (ESP) reported a tip that various videos of child pornography were being distributed online.
Investigators from the San Bernardino County Sheriff s Department, Crimes Against Children Detail (CAC), looked into the tip and were able to determine that the ESP account belonged to Marriott.
Marriott was interviewed by investigators on Wednesday. There were no details on what came about during the interview but Marriott was placed under arrest at the conclusion of the investigation later that afternoon.
