There will be just one fireworks display to ring in 2021 – a seven-minute affair at midnight, which Premier Gladys Berejiklian has repeatedly urged people to watch from their homes – and a pass system that will keep numbers to a minimum at some of the city s best vantage points (as councils implement road blocks and park closures at others) . On Wednesday, further restrictions were implemented in an attempt to ensure a super-spreader event does not occur. The 2019 New Year s Eve fireworks on Sydney Harbour.
