To go along with the spring cleanup, tipping fees at the Flin Flon landfill will be waived from May 15-June 7. The landfill will be open every day, open Monday-Saturday from 10 a.m.-5:45 p.m. and on Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. During the Flin Flon cleanup, people taking part are asked to keep metal debris separate from the rest of the garbage and fridges, freezers and similar appliances will need a freon removal tag before being taken away. City garbage crews also will not pick up large structures like decks or garages and will not pick up recycle bags.
