Murray Brethour had an inkling that Cold Creek Queso would turn out to be something more than ordinary. Just how good the Ontario Sires Stakes graduate will be in 2023 remains to be seen.
Standardbred owner Dan Walker of Cold Creek Standardbred, in Grafton, got a phone call from his trainer, Murray Brethour of Sunderland, about a week after Walker acquired a yearling in the late fall of 2020.
The glamour boys were at Georgian Downs tonight for a pair of Ontario Sires Stakes Gold divisions, and the father-son duo of Gregg and Doug McNair was victorious in each.
