Stateline Complex fires grow to 3,600 acres MTN and last updated 2021-07-27 16:50:29-04 ST. REGIS — The Stateline Complex fires burning outside of St. Regis are continuing to see growth and have now burned 3,635 acres. Fire managers caution that the area surrounding the Stateline Complex may observe increased smoke Tuesday due to higher relative humidity and cloud cover. Areas of unhealthy Air Quality will be observed throughout the day and may worsen slightly into Wednesday. The blazes continued to experience moderate fire behavior on Monday and the same is expected to last through Tuesday. The Stateline Complex showed active fire behavior earlier in the day on Monday due to drier temperatures and lower relative humidity. Group torching, short runs, and spotting began around mid-day and lasted through the evening.

REGIS — A community meeting will be held Monday evening to discuss the 3,271 acre Stateline Complex fires that are burning southwest of St. Regis. The virtual community meeting will begin at 8 p.m. Residents will be able to ask questions and fire managers will be providing an update on the blazes. Stateline Complex fires grow to 2,856 acres MTN and last updated 2021-07-25 18:43:42-04 The fires within the Stateline Complex continued spreading in all directions on Saturday and have now burnt 2,856 acres, according to a Southwest Area Incident Management Team 5 update. The Stateline Complex is burning on the St. Joe Ranger District of the Idaho Panhandle National Forests, to the south and west of the Idaho-Montana state line, and approximately thirteen air-miles south/west of St. Regis. Firefighters are expecting similar fire behavior on Sunday as was seen earlier in the weekend with consistent spread in dead fuels. On Saturday, July 24, the Lolo National Forest issued several emergency closures due to increased fire activity on the Stateline Complex. Access to Diamond and Cliff Lakes remains closed as well as the following roads and trails:
