Reena Shah is a writer, editor, and teacher. Her writing has appeared or is forthcoming in Waxwing Magazine, Joyland, BBC, The American Prospect, National Geographic, The Guardian, Third Coast, Writer’s Digest, Texas Review, Chalkbeat, and DNA India, among others. She has received support from the Sustainable Arts Foundation, the Cuttyhunk Island Residency, and the Fulbright Foundation. She is also the winner of the 2019 Third Coast Fiction Prize and the 2019 Writer’s Digest Short Short Story Award. For many years she was a Kathak dancer and a member of the Parul Shah Dance Company.
