I liked her openness. We also found that we enjoyed going to the movies together and eating out. She doesn’t have children so we were both available to go out. In 14 years, we’ve also had a couple of overseas trips – to South America, Europe and the United States – and we travel really well together. Moerangi is a lot younger than me. We’re not de facto. I like it that way. I’ve got my own bank account and my own place. We don’t have to pool resources and have arguments over who spent what. In my previous marriages, there were often financial arguments.
