FIREFIGHTERS put out flames which broke out in a home’s roof last night. Crews from the West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service (WSFR) were called to a loft fire in Medway Road, Crawley, at about 6.30pm. Teams from Crawley, Horsham and Surrey used an Aerial Ladder Platform to extinguish the fire. At 9.33pm, WSFR announced: “The loft fire in Medway Road, Crawley, is now out, but with damping down still taking place. “There were no reported injuries.” Pictures from the scene show firefighters using the ladder platform to reach the roof. Parts of the home appear to have been damaged by smoke.
