obstructing of justice. that was their way of at least showing, trying to show the world that they are taking this investigation seriously. but i think what tim s reporting and other reports we have seen today shows is that chairman burr might not be. and you go back to february when we found out that chairman burr had gotten on the phone with reporters to try to knock down stories about russia at the white house s request. and i think you saw after that, you saw him try to double down, try to redouble his efforts and show that he was conducting a fair investigation. he sent these letters to potential witnesses. but now we see a couple of months later that the committee is not even doing anything. they re not even off the ground. really has to call into question what his objective is here. we have a new nbc news wall street journal poll saying a nonpartisan commission is the preferred choice of 73% of the people responding in that poll. congress, 16%. then there is 8% of those who
