A 20-year-old Inverness man spent Christmas in a young offender s institution after spitting on a police officer.
Lee Drummond was remanded in custody on November 30 following the November 27 incident in the cells at Burnett Road Police Station in Inverness.
Drummond of Craigton Avenue, had been arrested on another matter but became aggressive when being placed in a cell, fiscal depute Fiona Murray told Inverness Sheriff Court.
