The Dunfermline man, charged with dangerous driving and assaulting police, appeared in private at Falkirk Sheriff Court. A DUNFERMLINE man has been charged with dangerous driving after a police chase ended with a pick-up truck crashing through a fence and into a garden. Stuart Nowrie, 36, appeared in private at Falkirk Sheriff Court yesterday (Thursday) after the alleged incident on Wednesday. He is accused on petition of dangerous driving, police assault, impeding police and registration plate fraud. It is also alleged the vehicle he was driving had no MOT. The high-speed pursuit, which started near Clackmannan and took in Fife and Tayside, was said to have caused significant delays on the M90 motorway before it came to a crashing end 45 minutes later in Cardenden.

Stuart Nowrie, 36, appeared in private at Falkirk Sheriff Court after the alleged incident on Wednesday. He is accused on petition of dangerous driving, police assault, impeding police, and registration plate fraud. It is also alleged the vehicle he was driving had no MOT. Nowrie, of Dunfermline, made no plea at a brief hearing before Sheriff Christopher Shead.

Van crashes through garden fence as police called to Fife town

Updated: May 5, 2021, 4:00 pm A police chase on the M90 which caused significant delays on Wednesday ended in the back garden of a local property. Police were said to have pursued the vehicle for 45 minutes through Tayside and Fife. The chase ended in a Cardenden garden after the vehicle and a police car crashed through a fence. Around seven police vehicles were seen in Cardenden on Wednesday morning after the incident. The van crashed into a fence. The van in the garden on Craigside Road, Cardenden. Motorists reported that the M90 was left at a standstill, with a roadblock put in place whilst the pursuit was underway.
