(KAIT) - When a former reserve deputy was arrested on federal weapons charges, investigators say they caught him with a meth pipe in his hand. Jason Wolfenbarger, 40, of Paragould appeared before a federal judge Wednesday on a charge of the sale or transfer of a firearm to a prohibited person. According to the probable cause affidavit, on April 28 an informant told an FBI special agent that they were “familiar with Wolfenbarger and had seen him smoke meth.”

(KAIT) - A Campbell, Mo. man was arrested on a forgery charge after falling asleep in a bank. Court documents say Brandon M. Douglas had a check and multiple driver’s licenses in his hand, with one of the licenses matching the name on the check. However, they didn’t belong to Douglas. Later it was found out the check belonged to a permanently closed business.

(KAIT) - A woman suspected of arson is behind bars after Jonesboro police said she set a vehicle on fire and tried to hide from officers. According to a police report, it happened April 12 around 4:35 a.m. at the 2500-block of Glenn Place. A witness told police they saw Autumn Nicole Raymond, 20, of Brookland, set a 2016 Kia Optima on fire. Raymond then reportedly ran down the street after setting bottom of the car on fire, causing police to issue a BOLO.

Car theft suspect identified

The Jonesboro Police Department reported on Facebook that the pickup was reported stolen out of Trumann. “After the suspect saw patrol vehicles in his area, the suspect began driving very erratically,” the posts shared Tuesday read. “Several downtown vehicles and businesses sustained damage as a result of the suspect’s reckless behavior.” After totaling the stolen truck, the suspect, later identified as William Long, fled the scene on foot. A victim was injured, but “all parties are okay and … the suspect was quickly apprehended,” the department reported on Facebook. While JPD digital media officer Rachel Carmack told The Sun that Long is the suspect detained in this case, the online jail roster shows that no inmates booked into the Craighead County Detention on Tuesday were being held for theft of a vehicle as of press time.

(KAIT) -A Jonesboro man is behind bars after he reportedly assaulted a woman during an argument. According to a probable cause affidavit, police went to St. Bernards Hospital and learned that Olajide Roddy, 33, went to the 1400-block of Oakhurst Street on Dec. 18 and tried to get a woman to leave with him. A second person tried to break up the argument, and that’s when Roddy reportedly began punching the victim multiple times in the face.
