OPSO: We ve been working to resolve funds dispute with judges
The Ouachita Parish Sheriff s Office says it has been working to resolve a dispute with three 4th Judicial District Court judges about when funds should be split.
Chief Deputy Marc Mashaw issued a statement to The News-Star on Monday, stating they ve been following the advice of their attorney, who also acts as general counsel for the Louisiana Sheriff s Association, since the issue first arose at the beginning of the year.
He said both the attorney and OPSO staff have spoken with Chief Judge Robert Johnson about determining the correct order to distribute the money.
