A wild fire growing in the north bay. Now, more than 4,000 acres, the fire has been burning almost nine hours now. Cal fire throwing everything it has at this fire. We have seen dc10 making retardant drops. It is getting help from smaller planes with the aerial assault going on there. It is very rough terrain. The firefighters got a lift to the fire line from a helicopter. They are calling it the rag fire, just southeast of lake barryessa. It is spreading fast. Christin ayers has new information about the evacuation orders tonight. Christin. Reporter the latest mandatory evacuation orders are of the golden bear and quail ridge communities. That fire you see behind me is where the communities are located. What you are looking at now are essentially the remnants of what appear to be a barn fire. Looks like

Helicopters scooped up water one bucket at a time each holding 324 gallons. Emergency responders feared the fire would move quickly. And it did ballooning to thousands of acres in a matter of hours. It happened in lafayette, louisiana, 60 miles from baton rouge. Lets get to veronica de la cruz with the latest. Reporter three people are dead tonight including the gunman. Seven others wounded. Police say the gunman took his own life. The only details are he is a 58 yearold white male. The shooting happened just after 5 00 our time at the Grand Theater 16. The gunman entered a showing of the comedy trainwreck. About 20 minutes into the movie, he stood up in the back and began to shoot. There were about 100 people inside at the time and the scene was chaotic. Four officers entered the theater to engage the shooter. They heard shots being fired upon their arrival. All lanes of north lanes of interstate 880 are closed after a Fatal Shooting on the freeway. 880 was shut down after a pedestrian was found dead near the overpass. The San Leandro Police department is investigating the incident as a homicide. No one has been arrested. Again, all north bound lanes are closed. Traffic is being diverted off the interstate on to Marina Boulevard around the scene. They drove up and found the person who had been shot. Rest assured, this is not an incident of a freeway sniper.
