So it d make sense to combine them for the so-called complete package. Thing is, firearms sales without a license is extremely illegal, but that didn t stop two Ford dealership employees from trying. According to Automotive News, the two men, Craig Tondre, formerly a sales manager at Covert Ford Hutto, and dealer employee Joshua Ellard, were arrested last month and charged with dealing firearms without a license. Ellard had previously been convicted in Florida of second-degree murder.

Federal authorities say a tipster alerted them to these firearms sales, and they opened an investigation into Ellard and Craig Tondre, the general sales manager.

Former Covert Hutto employees arrested on firearms charges

Author: Drew Knight Updated: 1:49 PM CDT May 5, 2021 AUSTIN, Texas Two now-former employees of Covert Hutto have been arrested on firearms charges, according to court documents obtained by KVUE on Wednesday.  The ATF confirmed that Ellard was arrested for felon in possession after he allegedly sold several firearms unlawfully. Tondre was arrested after being accused of dealing without a license. The documents state that through text messages, an undercover officer arranged to meet Ellard at the dealership on Feb. 24 to purchase a rifle. During this conversation, Ellard said he would need to talk with Tondre, the general sales manager, to bring their inventory to work so he could see what they had available.
