A two-month gap between the final two issues doesn’t help a series that’s moving closer to wrapping up in its main run (and coming out at the same time as a separate crossover series that ended spectacularly), but I’ve been very keen on Mark Russell’s run on this character that I’m excited to have more – even if the fallout from this story is already playing out in the main series. Craig Rousseau has done a great job with this run in general and I really like his approach to the character and creature design, giving it a distinctive enough feeling overall and delivering a book that captures the right feel for the child-emperor and what he’s going through.
