RESIDENTS living near Dunbar Railway Station “will make their own signs if they have to” to encourage people to park elsewhere. Permission is in place for a footpath linking the Hallhill area of the town to the station’s second platform. However, residents of nearby streets have expressed concerns that commuters could park outside their homes before catching the train. Craig Rapson, from Dunbar Community Council, had asked if any progress had been made by the authorities to produce signs to encourage drivers to park at Hallhill Sports Centre rather than on neighbouring streets such as Bothwell Gardens or Salisbury Walk.
