A serial robber threatened a shop manager with a hammer after he was caught trying to steal a bottle of champagne. Craig Makin, 40, was sentenced for the armed robbery and six burglaries, at Bolton Crown Court on Friday. The hapless criminal was caught for four of the burglaries after leaving blood at the scene, the court heard.
