A drowning wallaby has been saved in a joint rescue by a local ferry captain and his brave passengers.
Central Coast Ferries Senior Master Daniel Rond, spotted the wallaby struggling against the outgoing tide in Cockle Creek, near Empire Bay in Brisbane at about 9.50am on Thursday.
Mr Rond said he initially mistook the struggling animal for ocean debris.
