Award winners were determined by a vote of USTFCCCA member coaches. Only those individuals from USTFCCCA member programs are eligible for awards.
Many of these honored athletes and coaches are headed to the
2021 NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championships next week in Yankton, South Dakota.
Men’s Track Athlete of the Year
GREAT LAKES REGION – Landon Miller – Indiana Wesleyan
Miller, a senior from Goshen, Indiana, is ranked first nationally in both the mile at 4:08.42c (4:11.59f) and 5000 at 14:18.08c (14:27.27f). He is also second nationally in the 3000 at 8:16.29c (8:22.06f). Miller won both the mile and 5000 at the Crossroads League Indoor Championships.

(Thursday, February 11; Sioux Center, Iowa) The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports have announced the men’s indoor track and field athletes-of-the-week for events held February 1-7. Dordt’s Matthew Van Eps (Senior; Prinsburg, Minnesota) has earned the track portion of the award for the first time this season.
Van Eps won a pair of events at the Mount Marty Lancer Invite on Saturday, February 6 with a winning time of 1:21.98 in the 600 meters and he anchored the 4x800 relay team to a win in 7:44.56. The relays time is the fastest in the NAIA so far this season while his time in the 600 meters, after conversion, ranks fifth in the NAIA. Van Eps also has the fastest recorded time in the 800 meter
