“The information and ideas gathered through this consultation will be extremely valuable as we work to align our services to better support Kingston businesses,” Craig Desjardins, director of strategy, innovation and partnerships, said in a news release. “We plan to help businesses wherever possible as COVID-19 economic recovery efforts begin.”
In conjunction with the survey, the city has created the role of business support manager as it looks ahead to the next stage of post-COVID economic recovery. Heather Scrannage will work this role, becoming a single point of contact for businesses.
Scrannage’s appointment is the next step for the city’s new Business Support Office. Her team intends to help streamline, optimize and better connect local businesses with available city supports to resolve issues.
