For the 2nd time in 4 years the Ellsworth Eagles defeated the Freeport Falcons to become Class B State Champions, winning in dramatic fashion Saturday, June 19th 3-2.
After leading the MDI Trojans 1-0 after 4 innings, the Ellsworth Eagles exploded for 7 runs in the 5th inning and beat the MDI Trojans in Bar Harbor 10-0 (6 inning run-rule) on the final day of the regular season, on June 1st. Check out photos from the game
