after she was taken from her mother in the hospital. craig akin and shanara mobley traveled to walterboro to visit their long-lost daughter. we spoke with akin about the emotional reunion and what s ahead for the family. reporter: what do you say, what s the first thing you say? it s unimaginable what position you re in. just for anybody that s lost hope, keep hope alive. just keep praying. keep fighting. if it happened to me, it can happen to anybody. reporter: how is she how did the meeting go? first meeting was beautiful. it was wonderful. couldn t have went no better. what did she have to say? she was glad to meet us. reporter: are you planning to bring her to our city? no, it s going to be up to her. time will tell. taking it one step at a time. reporter: what about her mom? her mom, she s all right. her mom s all right. she s emotional, you know. guys, give us a little time to get the process to process
