Freeport business distances itself from similarly named Brentwood eatery flouting covid rules

A Freeport catering business is distancing itself from a similarly named Brentwood restaurant that is flouting the state’s covid safety regulations. “Cracked Egg Catering Co. is a family-owned and operated business located in Freeport, Pa.,” catering Director Maria Smith said Monday. “Other than our mobile kitchen, Sonny’s Smorgasbord, we are not affiliated with any other business.” Some people commenting on social media confused Cracked Egg Catering in Freeport with Crack’d Egg in Brentwood. In its post, Cracked Egg Catering says it follows covid guidelines. The business said a customer made the business aware of what was happening and thanked their patrons for their support.
