A Moranbah man hid from police after attending his ex-girlfriend s house for cold and flu medication.
The man, who cannot be named by law, pleaded guilty in Moranbah Magistrates Court on May 13 to contravention of a domestic violence order.
Police prosecutor Sergeant Paul Cramp said police were called to a Moranbah address on April 26 following reports of a disturbance.
Police officers were originally unable to gain entry to the property due to a padlock locking the Colorbond fence.
The aggrieved met the officers at the gate and told police she had a verbal argument with a friend who had since left the address.
It was reportedly driving on the wrong side of the road.
The car was last spotted speeding in the direction of Yeppoon, near to Artillery Rd.
Police have no description of the driver.
They said there were many white Commodore wagons out on the road today, and that the vehicle in question was about a 2000 model.
