Arima WPC charged with assaulting relatives

WPC Patrice Clarke was charged with assault by beating a male relative and unlawful assault against a female relative during an incident on September 3.

A 41-year-old WPC will appear before an Arima magistrate on January 25 to answer charges of assaulting relatives at a house, a police media release reported on Friday.
The release said WPC Patrice Clarke was at the home of the victim on September 3 when she got into an argument with him.
The man told police he left the house to defuse the situation, but was assaulted by Clarke when he returned home later that day. Clarke allegedly slammed a door against the man s hand and beat him across the back with a chair.
