it s case by case, really. a lot of these advocate groups are trying to do what they can to put these families back in touch with their children, but they re having trouble doing that, and that s them familiar with the phone bank system. and i know julia ainsley talked to a former cpb head, who said in some instances, rare instances, but in some instances, these separations are permanent. they can t reunite these families. that s right. that was former acting i.c.e. director john sandweg. and he said sometimes it s permanent. in fact, i spoke to some people at i.c.e. currently and they said, look, we don t terminate parental rights, and i didn t report that, of course, but there is a possibility that people can be deported back to exactly where gadi is standing and they don t know how to reach out to their children. they can t navigate the u.s. immigration judicial systems, they don t have access to attorneys there. they might not even speak spanish, let alone english. and in a lot
