AN ISLE of Wight web design studio has completed its yearly mince pie marathon charity campaign, raising an enormous sum of money for the Wight Brainy Bunch. Brightbulb Design, together with headline sponsor WightFibre, have raised more than double what they had last year a staggering £6,415 for the charity through the sale of mince pies. More than 6,000 mince pies were sold, delivering to 153 destinations in a single day, making it the biggest mince pie extravaganza the Island has ever seen. Local businesses took part in the event, with Cowes Site Employees Charity (BAE Systems) topping the leaderboard through the purchase of 684 mince pies, all of which were donated to the Isle of Wight Foodbank to support local people with emergency food over the Christmas period.
