Trump was expected to sign the bipartisan bill, which includes some $900 billion in relief, last week, shortly after it was passed by Congress. Instead, he suggested he would veto the bill if it was not revised to increase $600 direct payments for Americans to $2,000. Trump also demanded that Congress remove numerous spending measures he disliked.
