Coronavirus: UAE reports 3,506 Covid-19 cases, 3,746 recoveries, 6 deaths

The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention on Wednesday reported 3,506 cases of Covid-19, along with 3,746 recoveries. Six deaths were also reported.

More than 23.8 million tests have been carried out across the country so far.
The total number of cases in UAE as on January 20 stand at 263,729 while total recoveries are 235,421. Death toll rises to 762.
On Tuesday, authorities announced that Ajman government employees will need to take a Covid-19 PCR tests every seven days at their own expense. Those who have received both doses of the coronavirus vaccine are exempted from the requirement.

The Department of Health - Abu Dhabi (DoH) will launch drive-through services for people looking to take the jab soon.
A press note released by state news agency WAM said the move is being undertaken as part of the UAE s nationwide campaign to vaccinate at least half of the eligible population against Covid-19 by the end of March.
DoH will provide a number of centres, including drive through services, with Covid-19 vaccines outside of Abu Dhabi.
