Michigan cities participate in nationwide COVID-19 memorial service

LANSING, Mich. â The Presidential Inaugural Committee (PIC) hosted a nationwide memorial to honor those who lost their lives to COVID-19.
Cities across the state of Michigan got creative to show their support for the 400,000 Americans and 2 million people world wide who lost their lives to the virus. We all know that weâve lost people and I think this has personally affected everybody,â said Lansing s Mayor Andy Schor.
Lansing took part in the memorial by lighting several buildings in the downtown area including City Hall, South Washington Office Complex and a few fire stations.
A family s holiday party in Milmont Park, Delaware County, turned out to be its own superspreader event. I remember the first time I went to Elmhurst Hospital and heard the stories from the doctors and nurses of how shocked they were, it was like a thief in the night, just literally the way of imagining how much damage how much pain could be caused, de Blasio said.

Key was invited to perform at a coronavirus national memorial in Washington D.C. on Tuesday evening. There were 400 lights around the Lincoln Memorial reflecting pool to honor American lives lost. Key said it was an honor to sing and pay tribute to the people we lost to this deadly virus.
