Lahore [Pakistan], April 2 (ANI): Three state-run hospitals in Pakistan s Lahore are reportedly in the midst of COVID-19 scams after it was alleged that they administered vaccine to unauthorised persons or wasted several vials, causing embarrassment for the provincial government.
According to initial information obtained by Dawn so far, nearly 1,400 doses of the Chinese vaccine have either been authorised to unauthorised persons or have gone missing. Such complaints have surfaced at Services, Jinnah and Mozang hospitals in Lahore.
Under the laid down policy, the vaccines were to be given to the registered health professionals only.
The town of Longboat Key is urging residents to remain wary of potential scams related to COVID-19 vaccine distribution.
The good news is Deputy Police Chief Frank Rubino said the town has not had any reports of COVID-19 scams as of Thursday afternoon.
“We’re frustrated when any of our people get scammed,” Rubino said.
Earlier this month, the town shared a Facebook post from the Sarasota Police Department about the things people should look for, including:
If you’re asked to pay out of pocket to get the vaccine.
